Youth & Adult Art Therapy

Boston Daniels' Urban Arts understands the unique challenges facing urban communities, which is why we offer a specialized Youth and Adult Urban Art Therapy program. Through our program, we aim to empower clients to overcome trauma and build resilience. Our creative and experienced artist and therapists provide a safe, supportive and creative environment to help clients heal and grow.

Boston Daniels Park is undergoing a historic restoration as the first gateway project of the Quindaro Peace & Arts District. The renovation includes new green spaces, accessible walkways, gathering areas, arts features, and the life-size bronze monument of Chief Boston Daniels.

Boston Daniels'Principals of Peace

Through our partnership with #GoodTroubleKC and local law enforcement agencies, Boston Daniels' Principals of Peace is working to promote peace and eradicate systemic injustices in our communities. We advocate for police reform and support the inclusion of more African American women in law enforcement. Our mission is to create safer and more inclusive environments for all.

Black Butterfly Collective

Black Butterfly Collective (BBC) is addressing how many Black women-led organizations face multiple and multilayered challenges in obtaining resources and are impacted by the structure and power dynamics of the philanthropic community

(Wiles-Abel, 2020).

Food as Medicine

The Boston Daniels, Corp. Food as Medicine Program, in partnership with KU Medical Center, improves community health by increasing access to fresh, nutritious foods and culturally relevant wellness education. Through community gardens, nutrition engagement, and local partnerships, the program helps address food insecurity and diet-related health disparities while promoting healthier lifestyles in historically disinvested neighborhoods.
